
Biography
Born and brought up in Bombay on May 10, Namitha entered the Telugu film
industry via the Tamil route. Her father is a businessman and her mother is a
housewife. She is actually a Malayali and was introduced into the film industry
first by Malayalam film director Siddhique. She became popular with the tamil
version of the film Engal Anna.
Miss India contest brought Namitha to telugu film industry. After entering
Tollywood, she immediately grabbed the attention of telugu film lovers with her
action in both Sontam and Gemini though the films didn’t fare well in the box
office.
Namitha loves White and Black colors. White roses are her favorite flowers. She
swims and plays Badminton in her leisure. Interestingly she used to coach
swimming for kids. Namitha reads Novels of Sidney Sheldon and prefers reading
Comics. Coming to films, Namitha likes Nandita Das, Tabu, Paresh Rawal. She
likes Animals and Birds aswell.
