Chiranjeevi's party turns pro-women

Praja Rajyam Party chief Chiranjeevi has promised that his party would field maximum number of women candidates in the April elections in Andhra Pradesh.
"Women have been my biggest supporters. The Praja Rajyam Party will do everything for the welfare and empowerment of women," said Chiranjeevi on the occasion of the International Women's Day at the PRP office in Hyderabad on Sunday.
He said the PRP was also considering to field physically-challenged persons in the coming elections.
Later, addressing the PRP Doctors Forum, Chiranjeevi said PRP's prime focus, if elected to power, would be on healthcare.
Three per cent of the state budget would be earmarked for healthcare and all government hospitals would be developed on par with corporate hospitals, he said.
In the evening, Chiranjeevi took part in a road show at Nizampet, organized by 'Do It' team of information technology professionals.
Praja Rajyam Party has ushered in a silent revolution in Andhra Pradesh. The corrupt and rotten politics in the state will be wiped out in this revolution, Chiranjeevi said.
